The Defiance Rotary Foundation, formed in 1996, is the official charitable organization for the Defiance Rotary Club.  The Foundation's purpose is to provide a vehicle to receive gifts to support the broad mission of Rotary International by receiving, managing and distributing funds to benefit our local, national and world communities.  Through the generous contributions of individuals, corporations and organizations, the Defiance Rotary Foundation provides a reliable source of funds for current and future use.

   As a private, non-profit corporation, the Defiance Rotary Foundation provides investment flexibility and a separation of restricted and unrestricted funds, so that each can be used appropriately.

   The Defiance Rotary Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees selected by the Board of Directors of the Defiance Rotary Club and made up of three immediate past presidents and two persons selected at-large from the membership of the Defiance Rotary Club.  These individuals help oversee the Foundation's policies and procedures and monitor its finances.  As of June 30, 2007, the restricted endowment fund exceeded $190,000.
